MCCOY'S ICE CREAM CONE COOKIE JAR IS SO CUTE -- LOOKS JUST LIKE A BIG ICE CREAM CONE FROM THE CORNER BURGER BARN/DAIRY DIP! JAR WAS INTRODUCED IN 1978 AND IS MARKED ON BOTTOM: 159, USA. MEASURES 9" TALL (TO RIM EDGE), 11 1/2" TALL (FROM BOTTOM TO TOP OF LID KNOB). LOOKS NEW -- HAS NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO CRAZING! IT WAS HAND DECORATED -- RED COLD PAINTED CHERRY ON TOP AND A FEW COLD PAINT "SPRINKLES". THE ONLY EVIDENCE OF USE IS MISSING COLD PAINT -- A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL JAR -- I JUST ADDED ONE LIKE IT TO MY OWN COLLECTION! ~~Tips for care of items with cold paint~~ Cold painted items may be immersed for cleaning but cannot remain in water for more than a few seconds as the cold paint will lift right off! NEVER rub cold paint when wet. Allow to air dry or pat dry -- never rub. If a cold painted area is especially dirty, do not immerse item but use a slightly damp cloth and gently rub the area -- one direction only, not back and forth. Do not allow the paint to become wet, the cloth should be only slightly damp. Do not rub cold paint at all if the paint is loose or bubbled -- it will come off no matter how easily you rub.
