This signed Matilde Poulat necklace lays beautifully and is a statement maker at 1.5in. tall and 17in. wearable length. This is a pre-1960 signage with patent, registration, Matl and Mexico no eagle. Enrique Ledesma is famous for his stone to the silver inlays and remember this was before laser technology. In this necklace there is a large Agate with the bands ranging from browns to reds. These Margot de Taxco necklaces with a large drop are getting very difficult to find. The drop has a stone 1 in. in diameter and the wearable length is a comfortable 17 in. long. The drop is 2.25 in. long and 2 in. across. No chips or cracks to the stone and no striations that come to the surface. A hefty weight of 74 grams reflect the quality of this treasure. Matl Matilde Poulat opened her shop in 1931.(Pack Davis) She with her nephew Salas produced folk art jewels that are sought after today. This signed example is studded with turquoise and clear, faceted amethyst squares. The silver work shows itself as an excellent example that is 7 in. long and 1.75in. tall. The weight is heavy at 63 grams as a bracelet with open air filigree. Collectors will not be disappointing with this bracelet.

Correctly signed and rare this Matl designed by Matilde Poulat is a find for the discerning eye. The drop is 4 inches across and 3in. tall including the dangles. Each moonstone is framed with two caviar balls. The moonstones glow a beautiful blue and there is no damage or repairs. Today I have a Salvador Teran Mexican Silver bracelet that is rarely seen. Each link is built like a shadow box encasing two amethyst cabochons. It has great dimension and creates a strong presence. Another Antonio Pineda masterpiece done in black onyx crescents. Very comfortable with 4.5 in. diameter which is approximately 16.5 inches of wearable length. Each crescent is 1.75 inches at the widest point. No damage or repairs. The matching Pineda bracelet is as well listed on my site. Made by Margot Van Voorheis this necklace proves that not all great things come in big packages. The workmanship is complicated to say the least. The entire 15in. chain is composed of the tiniest granulated beads which are then channel set throughout with each links length measuring 3/16th of an inch. This treasure is a hand made pectoral that is shadow boxed with a nielo underneath and leaves styled and cut out with precision running across the top. The necklace weighs 105 grams of thick silver.
