Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen. It really seems more of a sculpture than a jewel to wear. I immediately had a feeling of something I would never want to run into in the dark. If a feeling from an artists work is rendered then they have truly succeeded as an artist. The gap is 1.5in. and that is wider than a normal gap. It has to be wider to accommodate a place up the arm to wear a 5in. long cuff. These dragons are deep, thick and heavy at 163 grams. The pointed teeth are in an open mouth and the eyes are big and round balls. With webbed arms they hold one another or fight one another? No damage of any kind. The work on this cuff was something I simply could not pass up or take my eyes off of.
