William Spratling signed hummingbird is a rare find. Most show up with bands across the beak from a break to the obsidian or shortened due to a break. This one has been well cared for and bears no damage. The length is 3.5 inches and the chain is 17 inches. The bird and chain are properly signed as shown. The marks place the necklace close to 1962. Most of the marks are present with part of the 3 on the eagle 30's are worn. In hands and magnified you can see the curves of the right side of these very tiny marks. Width at the widest is so slight in being 2.25 inches. The personality is in the eyes. They are cut with great skill and are close to pure silver. There is natural patina in the recesses. When the light hits straight overhead you see a golden light shining the length of the beak. Very pleased to present this treasure from LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
