A really fantastic early vintage Mexican Silver Cross with original chain by Matilde Poulat and signed with her old mark MATL. The hanging angels are so special with hand carving to the tops. This is the first time I have owned one with a chatelaine. A chatelaine's purpose is to make it more decorative with a smoother lead into the drop.Please note that both the chatelaine and the cross has cut outs under the amethyst stones to aid in more of a glow. This was done at the Matl taller only in the early period of the shop. The spring ring clasp was also used in her early days of the Matl shop. The chain is 26in. and the drop is another 5in. making the total length 31in. The cross is 3in.tall and 2.25in wide. The chatelaine is 2in. tall. In superb condition as shown. The stones are more teal color in real life than I see on my monitor. Collector quality and more, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
