This beautiful glossy jade green vase (somewhat darker than celadon) is an example of one of the most desirable of General Ceramics artware lines, the one designed by Austrian immigrant Valerie ("Vally") Wieselthier. This shape is a corseted 11.25" t. vase, with stylized medium-relief leaves as decoration.

No nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Made in the late 1930s or early 1940s. Marked with the inkstamp vase logo and the artist's initials VW, plus GENERAL CERAMICS USA.
