Here is a remarkable guinomi (sake cup), made by a fourth generation potter named Takegoshi Shoichiro (1927-1985), a recognized artist known for his masterful use of the bright kutani palette of colors. He is also the recipient of many awards.

This beautiful cup, made in red and gold with hints of a noble age, makes a great presentation of the sophistication and vividness of the Kutani tradition and the level of mastery of its maker.
