Offers Welcome!

A very attractive lacquer takatsuki (footed tray) dating from the 19th century (end of Edo period to beginning of Meiji period). It is decorated with sublime details in maki-e gold with leaves floating over a stylized brook.

The takatsuki is in very good condition. It is signed under the tray. There are a few minute dents at its foot (see picture 7), hardly avoidable marks of its age. The tray will be shipped in the original signed wooden box.
Dimensions: 27.5 x 26.5 cm (11 x 10.6 in), weight 800g (1.8 lbs)
