A sublime set of one kushi (comb) and one kogai (hairpin) made in gold and black lacquer, dating from the Meiji period (1868-1912).
Please inquire if you have some questions.
The set is in very good condition. One of the extremity of the kogai was apparently cut and sharpened, probably to make it fit into the end piece, which means the kogai used to be longer.
Dimensions: comb 8.3 x 3.1 cm (3.3 x 1.2 in); hairpin 13.7 x 1.1 cm (5.5 x 0.44 in)
