An original painting by recognized American landscape painter Robert Wood (1889-1979).
Born in England, he immigrated to the U.S.A. at the age of 21, where he started painting landscapes from coast to coast. He finally settled in Bishop, California.
This particular work (oil on canvas) is a painting of Grand Teton, one of his favorite subjects. The 4199 meter high mountain is located in the state of Wyoming.
The painting used to be in the collection of a well known Japanese businessman who lived in the U.S.A. (provenance will only be revealed to the buyer).
