An exquisite miniature red vase made in the style of Kangxi period ceramics from the Chinese Qing dynasty (1654-1722). The vase was made by a master potter of the Meiji period, Seifu Yohei III (1851-1914).
Seifu Yohei was the adopted son of Seifu Yohei II. He took over the family kiln in 1872 and in 1893 was the first ceramicist to become an Imperial Household artist.

The vase is signed and in excellent condition. It will be shipped in an antique fitted wooden box and comes with its original wooden stand (in the fashion of Chinese porcelains).
