A sublime chawan (tea bowl) made in the Ohi style of pottery by world renowned potter Richard Hirsch (b. 1944).
That particular vessel was made at the Ohi Chozaemon kiln in Kanazawa, Japan. Both bowl and box are signed by the artist, and the box also bears an attestation by the tenth Ohi Chozaemon (b. 1927).
