A Georgian English hand painted Imari dessert dish or platter circa 1800 1820. This 11-1/4" x 7-1/4" unmarked bowl features gold, orange, cobalt, teal, green and purple painted floral designs. Although it lacks an indent, it is possible that this is the platter that went beneath a tureen. It is 1-3/4" deep at the deepest point, so we are also calling it a s dish or shallow bowl. We have so far been unable to identify the manufacturer or pattern, but it is entirely consistent with English late 18th to early 19th century manufacture. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to some of the gold. A pair of German 800 silver viande serving forks in the original box. This elegant and high quality pair of 800 silver German 8" viande or meat serving forks are in their original fitted box and they date to the 1900 1910 era. These forks are stamped 800 with the crown and eagle mark (Frankfurt, pre-1888), most likely produced by Bruckmann and Sohne (1805-1973). The forks are an interesting combiation of elegant Neoclassic revival design paired with the elements of Jugendstil - note the graceful and simple fork shape and crisp design to the ends of the handle. The 9" x 3-1/2" box is a tan coloured watered silk with a Greek key border and bronze coloured fittings with a patterned silk interior lid and cotton fitted platform with twisted cord trim. The forks weigh a substantial 83 grams, and they have traces of the original gilding. Lovely quality silver. This set is in mostly excellent vintage condition with no pattern wear, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some visible dents and bends to one tine of one fork. The box/case has some slight rubbing to the box's edges and some interior spotting and staining. A Royal Crown Derby 6452 hand painted covered entree dish 1907. This fine quality English bone china covered oval entree dish is dated 1907and it was made by Royal Crown Derby in the 6452 pattern. This 11-1/4" x 7-3/4" serving dish has a cobalt band with matte gold painting including a grape vine motif and white enamel jewelling. It is marked on both pieces with the orange ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLAND 6452 mark, the M year letter (for 1907) and an underglaze stamped DERBY 6-07. This item is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, dents, damage or repairs other than a 3/16" chip to the base's edge (see picture).
