Circa mid-century, this bracelet is a heavy gorgeous modernist piece from Antonio Pineda. It's a book-piece design, shown (with amethyst) in Gobi Stromberg's "Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda".
It is collector quality, in exceptional vintage condition. There are five large oval onyx cabochons in raised bezel-settings, with an oval tongue in box clasp. Depth, or height of the settings, is 1/2".
Measures 7 3/8" interior length, not including the tongue portion of the clasp. Closed wearable length is right around 7". Width at the clasp is 7/8".
Weight is 89.3 grams.
Signed and hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, JVL Taxco 970", along with the eagle assay 208.
