Hallmarks date this very rare Antonio Pineda necklace 1948-1953. I've not seen this design before.
Composed of twenty panels with a rimmed hubcap design, the links alternate with rounds and indented on the sides so that they fit into each other. Each panel measures 1 3/16" tall, 13/16" wide. Closes with a ribbed J hook and eye.
Signed and hallmarked "Silver by Tono", with the design # YY 223. I believe the silver to be of a higher purity than 925, likely 970 or 980.
This piece lays perfectly on the neck, and is quite substantial. Closed wearable length is right about 16".
Weight is 119.9 grams.
In excellent vintage condition. There are some tiny pinpoint dimples, but nothing which detracts.
