Small Japanese Bronze Buddhist temple/altar vase, designed with two unique reserves. On one side there is a design if relief of a turtle, lotus pods and a bird; on the other side, there is a design of birds in marsh. There are two artistically designed handles on the sides of the vase between the reserves, and panel designs around the bottom. The vase measures 4-7/8”H x 3-5/8”Diameter, and weighs 15 oz. Condition is very good, with darkened bronze,age spots, and green patina. Age is circa late Meiji Period.
