Japanese silver-wire ovoid cloisonné vase, pale blue ground decorated with flowering white, yellow and rust-red plum blossoms and featuring a singing bird perched on one of the central branches. The branches are colored in medium to dark grey with dark turquoise highlights. The bird has a variety of colors, including two-tones of grey, white, brown, beige, auburn and black enamel. The designs appear to be outlined in silver-wire. The top and bottom rims of the vase are also silver and the interior of the vase neck and base is coated with matching blue enamel. The vase measures 7.25” H x 3.75” Diameter, and weighs 1.4 lb. It is in excellent condition with no dents or damage. Date is early 1900’s.
