A Kakehana hanging vase by Living National Treasure Miwa kyusetsu XI enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 4 inches (10 cm) diameter, roughly the same height and in excellent condition.
Kyusetsu was born the third son of Miwa Setsudo, and studied first with his Brother and father, and later (at the age of 31) with Kawakita Handeishi. He was named an intangible cultural property in 1983 (Living National Treasure). Works by him line the shelves of some of the most important collections in the world, including the Musuem of Modern Art, Tokyo.
