Offered is a vintage Fernando Agostinho Pop Art glass perfume bottle. The bottle has an ultramarine blue chamber encased in clear glass with white stripes with a comical stopper depicting the head of a Frenchman wearing a black beret. The bottle is etched with the artist's signature and date on one side near the base, as shown in the photographs. The bottle is 11 ¾" tall, including the stopper x 2 ¼" wide. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, scuffs, or repairs. Fernando Agostinho creates unique blown glass items. He says that each of his subjects participates in the animated design of life. Agostino was born in 1959 in Portugal into a family of glassblowers who moved to France when he was a young child. He has lived and worked there ever since. Agostinho is considered a master of glass pop art and one of his generation's most creative and talented glassmakers. His universe is a wonderland for children and adults, full of humor and poetry.
