The body is gilded with fantastic signs of age. The clothes, the detailed parts of its head and the expression of its face are exquisite.

Here we offer another Japanese tea kettle from our collection. It is a cast iron relief tetsubin from the late Edo Period. It is signed by the unknown artist. It has a tasteful design.

Inside is some rust but no water leak. Great atmosphere. A real antique tetsubin.

A comparetivly large sized Japanese Kannon Bosatsu from the Edo Period - about 250 years old - used in Sōfuku-ji ( 崇福寺 ) Temple in Gifu and since 80 years in our collection.

It is made of premium wood and has been carved by a master craftsman. The golden colour is still vivid and shiny and looks absolutely amazing. Buddha Statues of this quality are very rare.

Antique seated bronze Buddha in Maravijaya and Virasana, made in the late 16th or early 17th century in Chiang Mai Northern Thailand.

It shows a rare high quality bronze, very heavy, solid and shiny with rests of gilt.

The statue is our property since 1938 and was exhibited in our private home since that time.

Predominantly hollow inside and nevertheless 6,5 kg heavy.

The figure shows a lot of artistic details (take a look on the teeth and the tongue). Hagi Ware Foo dogs are very rare.

Up for sale is this solid and fine seated bronze Guan Yin. It has an old Kanxi mark, but we think this statue dates from the Qing Dynasty in the 19th.cent. and was not made earlier. The statue has a lot of interesting carved ornaments.

Here we present a tasteful kuro (black) Oribe kutsu chawan from the mid Edo period.

It has an interesting shape with fantastic black glaze and two different images on it. This bowl is unmarked, which was typical for tea bowls of this era.

This is a wonderful tea bowl of Japanese Hagi Ware, which was made about 100 years ago.

Superb chinese fluorite carving of Guanyin with a weight of 2,1 kg, made around 1750. It is Jade green in areas and almost clear in others and it shows the numerous flaws running through so stone typical of so-called green quartz (actually fluorite). This is a set of a vintage Japanese porcelain tea plate, which was made by a Human National Treasure, Kaiji Tsukamoto (1912-1990) about 40 years ago.

Up for sale is our oldest Japanese Tokkuri (Sake bottle). It dates from the Momoyama Period with an age of 400 years and has a very tasteful glaze with vivid colours. Close to the bottom there is a kiln mark (refer to picture no. 6)

The Tokkuri can be used with a little flower as a wabi arrangement. It is in good condition with a crack on the top of the tokkuri, which enforces the wabi look.

A Tokkuri with this age is absolutely rare.
