Antique Amitayus Bronze Buddha, 150 years old from North India.
The Buddha of immeasurable life
Amitayus is considered the giver of a long life and in Buddhismus embodies a crowned and dignified Buddha from the lotus family.
He is depicted meditating on the lotus seat and holding his hands in the gesture of equanimity. In many depictions he holds an ambrosia vase in his hands filled with the nectar of longevity and immortality. This gives him the venerability and majesty of the three great long-life deities.
His head is adorned with a crown, and his body is wrapped in various robes made of silk brocade. He wears 13 pieces of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets and anklets and is also worshipped as the crowned Buddha of rebirth.
A worthy deity that not only exudes immeasurable splendor, but will also cause enthusiasm as a gift for a special person.
