Jacob Gole 1660-1737 Dutch This is an original mezzotint engraving by Dutch artist Jacob Gole (1660-1737) This image, The Drawing Lesson was created after the painting by Godfrey Schalcken. This image identified in the lower border has an image size of 9 3/4X7 7/8 inches. Printed on an early laid type paper, some foxing but overall very fine condition. It has a collectors seal in the lower border, "H de t stat".

Milton H. Lowell 1848-1927 American This is an original oil on canvas painting by New York State artist Milton H. Lowell. The subject is of an old rural homestead seen in early Autumn. This painting was created between 1890 and 1910. This work is signed lower right M.H. Lowell and has an image size measuring 16X24 inches. Very nice condition, recently cleaned and lined, housed in a period gilt frame.

Mortimer L. Menpes, English, 1860-1938, "Goring Church, Goring-on-Thames". Printed on laid-type paper. Pencil signed with an "imp" after his name indicating he was the printer. Inscription in the lower left says "Rose." Image is 11 2/8 x 12 3/8 inches on 11 3/4 x 14 1/2 paper. c. 1910.

Mortimer Menpes, English, 1860-1938, "Interior of St Maclou, Rouen". This etching by Mortimer Menpes measures 12 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches, pencil signed, c. 1902, edition of 50, looking towards the Gothic Baldachin. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

David Muirhead Bone 1876-1953 Scottish "This is one of the most famous prints from the British Etching Revival" This image is titled: A Spanish Good Friday,created and printed in 1925 by British artist David Muirhead Bone. This pencil signed drypoint measures 12 5/8X8 inches, printed on a laid type sheet with deckeled edges. Numbered as XXVII lower left corner. The image depicts the solemn festival at the end of Passion Week. Ref. Campbell Dodgson 412 .
