Harold Kerr Eby, American, 1889-1946, "The Lobster Fleet," etching, 9 3/8 x 11 1/2 inch etching and sandpaper ground on wove type paper, ed. 100. Cat: Giardina 193. Printed in 1937. Pencil signed "Kerr Eby imp", the "imp" indicating that Eby printed this impression himself. Kerr Eby was a remarkable printmaker and a member of the Cos Cob Art Colony and friends with many of the important artist of the day, including Childe Hassam and John Taylor Arms...

Mortimer L. Menpes, English, 1860-1938, "Goring Church, Goring-on-Thames". Printed on laid-type paper. Pencil signed with an "imp" after his name indicating he was the printer. Inscription in the lower left says "Rose." Image is 11 2/8 x 12 3/8 inches on 11 3/4 x 14 1/2 paper. c. 1910.

Tavik Simon, Czech, 1877-1942, Color etching printed in 1925 on watermarked laid-type paper. Ed 280, cat: Novak 437. Artists' cipher in two places. Pencil signed and titled. Measures 17 x 22 inches. T.F.Simon was born in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts...

James McBey, Scottish, 1883-1959. Etching from his Venice series of etchings. Done in 1925. Number 21 out of the edition of 80, this etching appears in the Hardie catalog as image number 250. The image measures 7 1/8 x 15 3/4 inches. J Whatman watermark laid-type paper. Collector's annotations in pencil at the lower edge of the sheet.

This 1927 etching by the American artist Roland Clark measures 7 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed and titled. Roland Clark studied at The Art Students League with J. Carroll Beckwith in New York. An avid outdoorsman he combined his love of the outdoors into his many paintings and etchings. Selected to do the 1938 Federal Duck Stamp Design, he also wrote and illustrated books about his hunting experiences.

This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

Original etching by Stephen Parrish, "Low Tide Bay of Fundy", 1881, 3rd state of 3. Image size is 12 X 19 inches, hand signed in pencil lower right border. Catalog: SP64. Printed with sepia toned ink on wove type paper. Sheet size is 14 1/4 X 21 inches.

This Warren Davis etching measures 7 7/8 x 6 inches, pencil signed, label from Kleemann-Thorman Galleries, New York included, c.1928. This delicately rendered etching is a great example of Davis's images of graceful female nudes, many of which were used for Vanity Fair and Life magazines in the very early 1900s.

This color aquatint etching by the French Expressionist Georges Rouault measures 12 1/8 x 8 3/8 inches, plate signed, from the "Circus of the Shooting Stars" series, a group of eight color aquatints created in 1930, on Rives BFK laid type paper, initialed and dated in the plate, lower right, edition of 270, cat: Wofsy-212.

This c.1925 etching by William Meyerowitz measures 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches, plate and pencil signed, framed. Meyerowitz studied at the National Academy of Design in NY and is best known for his development of producing etchings in color. His work is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Carnegie Institute; National Academy of Design; Harvard University and the Library of Congress.

This etching with drypoint on copper by Frank Benson measures 4 x 5 inches, pencil signed, 1931, cat: Ordeman-312, edition of 300. Benson was a founding member of the Boston Guild of Artists and a long time teacher at the Museum School in Boston. In 1912, at the age of 50, Benson began his etchings and drypoints, mainly of wild fowl which he depicted with expressive lines and rich toning that exquisitely captured the life and energy of the wild birds...

A very rare lithograph by the British artist Edmund Blampied measuring 17 1/2 x 14 inches, pencil signed and numbered 3/3. Edmund Blampied was a very successful artist and illustrator in early 20th century Britain. He illustrated many books and magazines, but is best known for his remarkable skills as a printmaker. He was an important figure in the 'British Etching Revival' of the early 20th century, and was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1920.
