19th Century American, "Landscape with Waterfalls". This is a very fine Hudson River School landscape, oil on academy board, 9 3/4 x 18 3/4 inches, c. 1880s, unsigned, in an ornate period gilt frame. Although this painting is unsigned it is quite well painted, evidently by a very competent artist.

19th Century American School 1800-1899 American Artists This is an original oil on canvas painting, signed and dated lower right, but we cannot make out who the artist was. This painting of Harbor Traffic is dated 1874. Possibly the work of Francis Silva. The painting measures 12X20 inches. We are calling this work 19th century American School. Nicely framed in a period gilt frame. Fine detail and color, this is an outstanding work of art.

Abbott Fuller Graves 1859-1936 American, Boston This is an early still Life of Flowers, oil on chamfered panel by American artist Abbott Fuller Graves. Created circa 1900 this painting is signed lower left corner and has an image size of 8 5/8 X 6 5/8 inches. Good condition with a few minor cracks in the panel, unobtrusive. This painting is housed in a period gilt frame. Graves worked with both Edmund Tarbell and Childe Hassam who he met while studying in Paris at the Academie Julian...

20th Century American School 1900-1999 American Artists This is the third watercolor and gouache painting that we recently acquired. All park scenes, all painted on a blue toned paper, nicely framed with archival materials. We are unsure who this artist was, most likely one of the mid 1930's American Illustrators. The image measures 8 1/4X5 1/4 inches. Unexamined out of the frame. Probably a view in Central Park N.Y.

19th Century American School 1800-1899 American Artists This is an original oil on tin painting of a young woman. It is apparently unsigned and so we are calling this 19th century American School. The painting measures 8X7 inches, it came to us in a period gilt frame which measures 12 1/2X11 1/2 inches. Expertly painted, this is a fine example of 19th century American portraiture.

Arnold Marc Gorter 1866-1933 Dutch, Amsterdam This is an original oil on canvas by Dutch artist Arnold Marc Gorter (1866-1933) This landscape view with a Man in a row boat is signed lower left. The painting itself measures 15X20 inches. Very nice condition, recently cleaned and varnished. Very minor craquelure in the paint, unobtrusive. Everything is quite stable and very presentable. This painting came to us in a hand carved Gold Frame...

Maria Ada Gianni 1873-1956 Italian This is a fine original gouache painting by Italian artist Maria Gianni. The scene is the Bay of Naples with Mt Vesuvius in the background. The painting is signed lower left. The image measures 5X12 1/2 inches and came to us in what appears to be the original early frame which measures 8X16 inches.

Benjamin Osro Eggleston 1867-1937 American This is an original oil on canvas painting of Old Lyme Connecticut, the river bridge. This painting is signed lower left corner. The canvas measures 10X14 inches. Housed in a period gilt frame. Born in Minnesota, He moved to Brooklyn and summered in Old Lyme CT.

The painting measures 12X16 inches. Very fine condition, recently cleaned and varnished. Housed in a fine Period carved frame.

On the back is an old label with the title: In a Dutch Canal, Delft. This painting from circa 1900 has a canvas size of 8X11 1/2 inches. Housed in a reproduction 19th century gilt picture frame.

Emil Ganso 1895-1941 American This is an early painting by American artist Emil Ganso. This painting of a Nude Woman sleeping on the Bed is signed and dated lower right corner, 1934. The painting measures 15X21 inches. Oil on Board. Framed.

This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

Francois van Severdonck, Belgian, 1809-1889, "Sheep and Lamb in a Spring Landscape", Oil on panel, painting measures 7 x 9 3/8 inches in a 12 x 15 1/2 inch gold period frame. Signed and dated "F. Van Severdonck f. 1863" in the lower left, inscribed and signed by the artist on the reverse. A luminous painting with striking color and detail.

This is a very fine painting of a man and his dog fishing. Oil on canvas, 18 x 26 inches, c. 1880, signed in the lower left corner,by Francois Vuagnat. Francois Vuagnat was born in Geneva in 1826. and died in 1910. He was a well known Artist and Photographer. Housed in a 19th century frame with gold liner. A fine scene with the man's trusty companion awaiting dinner.

Frederick Judd Waugh 1861-1940 American This is a fine original watercolor/gouache painting by American Marine painter Frederick Judd Waugh. This painting created circa 1910 of a Sailboat race off of the rocky coast measures 10X14 inches, signed lower right and nicely housed in a custom frame. Waugh was the son of a well-known Philadelphia portrait painter, Samuel Waugh...
