Tavik F. Simon 1877-1942 Czech This soft ground etching and aquatint was created by Austrian artist Tavik F. Simon. It is titled: Les Halles Et L' Eglise Saint Eustache, Paris. A fine view of Notre Dame and the street life of Paris. This etching was created and printed in 1926 and is described as an artist Proof in the Novak Catalog, numbered as: 1926AP3. The image measures 13 1/4X15 inches. Pencil signed lower right and has an edition number of 16. In an early Frame with French matting.

This is an original pencil signed etching by French artist Charles Jacque (1813-1894) This etching of a Shepherd is quite large, rare for this artist. It has an image size of 14 3/4X18 1/4 inches. It is clearly signed in the lower right border. It is printed on a medium weight wove type paper, light even toning. A very rare image by this important Barbizon artist.

Gerald Leslie Brockhurst 1890-1978 English One of the finest portrait etchings ever created by British artist Gerald Brockhurst. "Henry Rushbury", created and printed in 1930. Rushbury, like Brockhurst studied at the Birmingham School of Art and the two later shared an apartment in London. Rushbury was an accomplished etcher as well... This etching is very richly printed, the subtle tonal range is incredible in person, our scan doesn't .do this image justice...

20th Century American School 1900-1999 American Artists This is an original watercolor and gouache painting, artist unknown, most likely American circa 1930. The image of what appears to be a writer or Poet giving a talk in a park setting. The image measures 8 1/4X5 1/4 inches. Nicely framed with archival materials. This work, done on a blue toned paper is in very nice condition, clean and bright.

20th Century American School 1900-1999 American Artists This is the third watercolor and gouache painting that we recently acquired. All park scenes, all painted on a blue toned paper, nicely framed with archival materials. We are unsure who this artist was, most likely one of the mid 1930's American Illustrators. The image measures 8 1/4X5 1/4 inches. Unexamined out of the frame. Probably a view in Central Park N.Y.
