Stephen Parrish, American, 1846-1938, "A Fishing Hamlet- Bay of Fundy, 1882," Etching, image size 5 1/4 x 8 1/8 inches, 1882, plate signed l.l. "S Parrish" and "68" l.r., pencil signed l.r. "Stephen Parrish". This etching was made by Parrish after his painting, "A Fishing Hamlet, Bay of Fundy--Evening, which was shown at the National Academy of Design in March 1882.

Arthur Bowen Davies, American, 1862-1928, "Maenads," Etching with aquatint, image size 7 7/8 x 10 7/8 inches, 1918-1919, state VII/VIII, cat: Czestochowski-69, alternate title "Far Prospect," pencil signed, framed. Davies was a truly remarkable artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries known for his dreamlike etchings and lithographs...

Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, 1796-1875, French, "Paysage d'Italie," Etching, image size 6 x 9 1/8 inches, cat: Melot- C.7, later printing without Cadart lettering, possibly after it was removed. This is a very nice impression with wide borders, printed on a medium weight cream colored laid type paper. This atmospheric image from Corot's series of Italian landscapes is a great example of his ability to capture the life and movement of the scene with loose spontaneous lines and rich tones.

Warren Davis, American, 1865-1928, "Seated Nymph," Etching, image size 8 x 5 3/4 inches, pencil signed l.r. "Warren Davis" on wove paper. Davis studied at the Art Students League in New York and became known for his etchings of idealized female figures. Many were used on the covers of Vanity Fair and Life magazines. Later in his career Davis exhibited in Europe and the United States including the Pennsylvania Academy and the Salmagundi Club.

William Lee Hankey, British, 1869-1952, The Bridge at Corfe Castle," etching, image size 6 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches, pencil signed l.l., plate initialed l.l., artist blindstamp l.r., very rare image, number one of 12 impressions, small repair in the image.

Benton Murdoch Spruance, American, 1904-1967, "Set Pieces: Vanity of Trust," lithograph, image size 13 x 18 1/2 inches, 1949, edition of 30, pencil signed, titled and editioned. Spruance studied in Paris after winning the coveted Cresson Scholarship in 1928 while attending college at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He studied with Edmond and Jaques Desjobert in Paris before returning to the US and continuing his nearly forty year career as a printmaker.
