Paul Jacoulet 1896-1960 French This is an original color woodblock print by French artist Paul Jacoulet (1902-1960) The title is: "Chagrins D'Amour, Kusaie Est Carolines", it was created and printed in October 1940, pencil signed with the Butterfly seal. The edition is 330 impressions. The image measures 15 5/8X11 7/8 inches. Jacoulet moved to Tokyo Japan and was influenced both by the Asian subjects that he encountered and the modern Japanese woodblock printing of the 20th century.
