Hand signed and numbered. A dramatic depiction of a group of soldiers in the midst of battle in France during WWI. The title means roughly "the soldier from the invaded region." Lucien Jonas was an official military artist in France during WWI and traveled extensively through the front lines, creating many paintings, drawings and prints depicting the heroism and bravery of the soldiers on the front lines.
