Seymour Standing Under a Tree is a portrait of Francis Seymour Haden, Jr. (born 1850), the elder son of Whistler's half-sister, Deborah Delano who married the well known artist etcher, Sir Francis Seymour Haden. This image appears in the Kennedy catalog as image number 31.
