Stow Wengenroth 1906-1978 American This is an original drybrush drawing on illustration board by American artist Stow Wengenroth. This drawing was done as a study for his lithograph, Rock Shadows, created and printed in 1970. This work done on a Strathmore Illustration board is signed in ink lower right corner, the image measures 13X23 inches. Very nice condition. The lithograph Rock Shadows appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 332. It was done in Rockport Mass and finished in Greenport N.Y. According to the catalog description this was drawn from the Edge of an old quarry in Rockport. This was a gift from the artist to the former owner who sold it to our gallery...This drawing is archivally framed.
