Luigi Kasimir 1881-1962 Austrian This is a fine original color etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir. The subject is the Fulton Market, in New York City, circa 1930. The image measures 16 12X11 1/2 inches. Printed in an edition of 100 signed impressions. "Kasimir was a pioneer in the coloured etching technique. He started with a sketch, usually in pastel, and then transferred the design on as many as four to six plates. He printed one after the other and applied the colour on the plate--all done by hand. Luigi Kasimir died in 1962."
