James Edmund Allen 1894-1964 American This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist James Allen. The title is: The Builders, it was created and printed in 1932 in an edition of 100. The image measures 9 3/4X11 3/4 inches. Very fine condition apart from a couple of old glue spots on the back of the sheet, This etching looks great... The image appears in the Reese book, "American Prize Prints". This etching is in the Ryan catalog as image number 62. One of Allen's most important etchings. This etching is nicely framed with archival materials.
