European silver and enamel perfume bottle, ca 1875. Ovoid with short neck and hinged cover. Silver decorated with pointillé and foliage. Front, back, and cover have enameled scenes: Barefoot bacchantes in clingy drapery and winged cherubs wielding bow and arrows. Figures are monochrome with gold highlights on black ground. Pretty Classicism. Excellent condition.
