Pair of sterling silver and ivory medieval figures. Made in Germany, C 1920.
The man wears head-to-toe armor. The helmet visor is raised revealing his face. He holds a standard in one hand and his shield in the other. His lady is dressed in a fur-lined patterned gown and wears a veiled turret hat. On her wrist is perched a falcon. A courtly pair dressed at the height of 15th-century fashion. The figures stand on square bases with faceted corners. On each corner is mounted a figure of a spear-bearing soldier. Fine detail. Knight’s sword can be removed from belt .
Fully hallmarked. Excellent condition.
