Hammered sterling silver tea and coffee service in Blossom pattern. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen, ca. 1950. This service comprises 1 coffeepot with cover, 1 teapot with cover, 1 sugar with cover, 1 creamer, and 1 tray.
Coffeepot: Egg-form with tapering scrolled spout and side handle in carved and tapering ivory. Teapot: Squat and bulbous with small scrolled and tapering spout and side handle in carved and tapering ivory. Sugar: Semispherical with dome bottom. Creamer: Squat and bulbous body with side handle in carved and tapering ivory and large v-spout. Tray: oval with curved sides and 2 open c-scroll handles.
All vessels rest on scrolled tripod support. All covers are domed with blossom finial. Tray handles also have blossom.
A fine service. First-rate craftsmanship. Minor age-related wear to ivory. Otherwise excellent condition. Fully hallmarked.
