Sterling silver porringer with moral message. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark, ca. 1900. Upward tapering sides and molded rim. Acid-etched frames of children at prayer and table with the message: “Every night my prayers I say, and get my dinner every day; and every day that I’ve been good, I get an orange after food.” Hallmark includes model no. 1484. Excellent condition with good definition and patina.
