French mahogany box with Neoclassical silver mounts, ca. 1880. Box is rectangular with chamfered corners. Cover is hinged with lozenge-patterned parquetry. Silver mounts including acanthus scrolls, guilloche, beading, vases, and broken pediment. Rests on 4 inverted and conical supports with foliage and ball mount. Box and cover interior are stained.
