Pair of sterling silver pheasants. Imported to London by JMR in 1964. The two birds appear startled. The male turns his head and flexes his wings. The female has her wings raised for flight. Fine delineation of the feathers and scaly talons as well as the cawing beaks. Glass eyes. Full bodied with heavy weight (total 54.5 troy ounces). A dramatic couple for the next hunt dinner. Hallmarked. Very good condition and patina.
