Sterling silver baby cup.  Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1878.  Baluster body with scroll handle and unusual wavy rims.  Acid-etched name Little Jack Horner with depiction of same:  a fat boy with Eton crop holds a plum between thumb and forefinger. On underside is engraved the nursery rhyme: Little Jack Horner, sat in a corner, eating a Christmas-pie.  He put in his thumb, and took out a plumb, and said, What a good boy am I.  Hallmark includes pattern no. 5244 (first produced in 1878) and director’s letter M (1873-91).
