Art Deco sterling silver bowl. Made by Kalo in Chicaco, 1914-18. Octagonal with curved and tapering sides. Study with visible hand hammering. Interlaced monogram applied to interior. A striking foray into the geometric style by this classic Craftsman maker. Hallmark includes no. 399 and phrase: “Hand wrought at the Kalo shops Chicago and New York”. Very good condition and patina.
