George V sterling silver covered trophy cup. Made by Mappin & Webb in Sheffield in 1932. Baluster body on short knopped stem on raised circular foot mounted to square base. Reeded bracket handles with leaf mounts. Chased leaves. Knop and foot gadrooned. Raised cover with worked leaf border and bud finial on leaf mount. Traditional and substantial. Beautiful craftsmanship. Hallmarked. Fine condition and patina.
