Art Deco sterling silver coffee and tea set in Hampton pattern with engraved ornament. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1920. This set comprises coffeepot, teapot, hot water pot, creamer, and sugar on tray.
All: Rectilinear with tapering sides, concave corners, and stepped rim. Covers stepped and concave (pot covers hinged). Handles scrolled bracket. Coffeepot and teapot spout faceted and s-form. Hot water pot has short and covered spout. Creamer has lip spout. Tray rectilinear with shaped ends and concave corners. Cutout lunette end handles and reeded rim.
The classic form with acid-etched Adams-style ornament: Shaped frames with rosette diaper, scallop shells, leafy scrolls, and scrolled frames (vacant).
All hallmarks include director’s letter m (1907-47) and pattern no. 18389A (first produced in 1912) except for tray, which has pattern no. 19289C (first produced in 1917). Very good condition.
