American Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame, ca 1900. Narrow oval window in wavy-shaped surround with bracket feet. Open ornament with leaves, flowers, and shells on irregularly speckled green and white ground. Top solid with scrolled cartouche (vacant). An over-the-top turn-of-the-century design. With glass, silk lining, velvet back, and hinged support. Hallmarked with retailer’s stamp Alsted-Kasten Co. and no. 4651. Very good condition.
