Turn-of-the-century Chinese export silver place setting with: (dimensions in inches) dinner fork (7 3/4), salad fork (6 3/4), spoon (6 5/8), and knife (8 1/2). Each: Hollow handle with chased exotic scenes: robed Chinamen, pagodas, and trees. Knife blade has engraved bamboo stalk. Knife and dinner fork have oval cartouche (vacant) and stamp for Wang Hing, a Hong Kong silversmith and retailer. Salad fork and spoon have armorial cartouche (vacant) and mark for Luen Wo of Shanghai. Very good condition.
With: Chinese export silver dinner fork (7). Flat and shaped handle. On front chased Chinamen and blossoming trees on stippled ground. On back applied scallop shell. Marks including stamp for Khecheong, who were active in Canton, ca 1840-70. Very good condition.
