Market-fresh Art Nouveau sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1910. Ovoid body with helmet mouth, reeded looping handle, and raised oval foot. On shoulder is chased band of overlapping lily pads; under handle are applied the flowers with tangled stems. A gorgeous example of the enduring Japonesque vogue on a spare and fluid form. Fully marked including pattern no. 16582 and director’s letter m. Fine condition.
