Eight sterling silver highballs. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1930s-40s. Each: Cylindrical with flared rim with incised double bands and skirted foot. Applied rondel with “New York Athletics Club” in low relief and overlapping winged foot. Five engraved on foot underside with phrase “Trapshooting / Season 1938” and one with phrase “Trapshooting / Season 1941”. A great set from the New Deal era, when class conflict was rife and strident. Super stylish and a tad too relevant.
