English Classical sterling silver condiment set comprising 10 pieces: 2 mustard pots, 2 open salts, 2 pepper shakers, 2 mustard spoons, and 2 salt spoons. Drum-form (mustard pots and open salts) and cylindrical (pepper shakers) with spread and molded base. Mustard pots have hinged and domed cover with ovoid finial, and high-looping scroll handle. Salt spoons have gilt-washed bowl.
In leather-bound case with fitted velvet and silk lining.
All pieces fully marked. Pots, salts, and shakers made by William Suckling, Ltd in Birmingham in 1932. Mustard spoons made by Francis Howard Ltd in Sheffield in 1968. Salt spoons made by J. Sherwood & Sons in Birmingham in 1903. Very good condition.
