This is a magnificent middle part of the 19th Century Armoire made during the Napoleon III ear and directly inspired of the Louis XVI period more or less seventy five years earlier. This stunning and massive piece is boasting an intricate embellishment and consists of a large step front central compartment, highlighted by a beautiful pierced carved cartouche with finials, flanked by matching side cabinets, all mounted with their original and beveled mirrors with the side doors lovely accented with sculpted panel depicting gardening tools and floral baskets. The pediment is also nicely ornate with twisted ribbon and acanthus rosette embellishing the apron supported by lovely tapered turned legs. Beside the visual impact, this piece is offering a tremendously large storage capacity with three compartments with adjustable shelves and interior drawers. Hardware is in original and working condition. Note several minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa date 1850-1860. Dimensions 104"high/ 71"wide crown/ 67"wide body/ 20"deep.
