This is a beautiful and elegantly simple Console made from solid and exquisitely patinaed mahogany during the first half of the 19th century at the beginning of the Restoration period (Era following the Fall of Napoleon 1st). This lovely piece is topped by its original gray St Ann marble sitting upon a straight belt disclosing a large hidden drawer, supported by boldly scrolled cabriole legs connected to the straight back legs thanks to a bottom shelf, standing on long claw legs. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa date 1820-1830. Dimensions 37”high/ 48 ½”wide/ 17 ½”deep.
