A fine and heavily cast Chinese bronze censer and stand cast as a finger citrus, the stand with trailing leaves. The burner with a beautiful honey brown patina suffused with gilt flecks. Late Ming/early Qing dynasty, 17th century. Length 20 cms. Weight 1580g.
A Chinese bronze incense-burner and cover modelled as a prancing qilin, well and delicately cast, with nice patina. Early Qing, 17th/18th century. 18 cms.

Provenance: Hugh Gordon Lowder (1888-1978) who worked at Chinese Maritime Customs, Shanghai, 1908-1914 and 1918-1940.

Purchased from James Trigg, Antiquarius, Chelsea, London, May 1977 and sold with the original receipt.

A Chinese famille verte yellow-ground brush washer, of shallow circular form, robustly potted, the sides very slightly waisted. 13 cms diam. Kangxi mark. Qing dynasty, 19th century.
Perfect condition.
A rare pair of Chinese cloisonne enamel 'holy water' bottles, Qianlong/Jiaqing, c. 1800. Height 23 cms.
Iron-red decorated porcelain bottles of this shape were made in the Qianlong reign as gifts to Tibetan monks. In cloisonne, however, they are much rarer.
The only pair to have come on the market in recent times were sold at Christie's New York, 18.9.2014, for USD 23,750.
A single example was sold in Christie's Paris, 8.6.2010, lot 242.
A Chinese archaic pale green jade sword chape carved on one side with four linear designs, the reverse with a coiled dragon, 5cms wide, Western Han dynasty (202BC - 9AD).
A similar chape was sold at Bonhams London, 18/5/23, lot 28, Keverne collection.
Another sold at Christie's New York, 17/3/16, lot 920.

A Chinese buff stoneware conical bowl, finely and thinly potted, with moulded floral interior, covered in a rich amber glaze finishing well above the foot to show the white slip. 12.5 cms diam., Liao dynasty, 10th/11th century.
Provenance: A Buckinghamshire, UK, collection formed in the 1980's.
A Chinese cloisonne vase, Qianlong, with garlic neck and octafoil body. Height 13cms. Jingtai four-character mark. Good condition.

A large and finely cast Chinese bronze censer and cover modelled as a seated qilin looking back over its shoulder, the unusual saddle-shaped cover with a short funnel for the exit of smoke. Qing dynasty, 18th century. 34 cms high. Good condition with a good old patina.
A Chinese wucai sleeve vase, late Ming dynasty, Chongzheng, brightly painted with Buddhistic lions among peony. Height 26.5 cms. Good condition.
